Cheating to Mensa
Mensa is, in many ways, one of the lowest-IQ societies. We won’t even get into the standard of the member forums, where transphobia, homophobia, racism, and groupthink are common features.
Despite the already low entry threshold—statistically, 1 in 50 can qualify for membership—the leaked admission test is still in circulation. So in reality, almost anyone can join, which is of course good for the organization’s finances. But it removes the entire appeal of being a member. The average IQ is probably, unfortunately, closer to 110 today than 131 or higher.
For example, the test has been publicly available here for several years, and at the time of writing it has been viewed more than 12,000 times: https://www.scribd.com/document/821886170/FRT-Test-1
The test has circulated in various versions, in some cases including the answer key. In general, studies show that around 70–75% of test-takers who have the opportunity to cheat without being caught will do so. It is therefore very likely that a significant proportion of those admitted in recent years have cheated their way in.
In other words: welcome to the IQ club for the average Joe.
